Sliders have become a favorite mini burger appetizer, but why keep those delicious Sliders as just an appetizer-they deserve to be come the star of your next cook out!
Cooking The Perfect Slider;
- Add your seasonings to cold ground beef. Keep it simple with a generous amount of salt & pepper. Want more flavor? The opportunities are endless a few ideas; chopped garlic, a couple dashes of Worcester Sauce, Cracked Pepper Blend, BBQ seasoning, Ranch Seasoning, sautéed onions…
- Make your sliders (6 per pound) by forming into small patties. Keep the burgers perfect by not messing with them too much and leave an indention with a spoon in the center-this helps the patty hold it’s shape.
- Before you cook your sliders, grill your slider buns. Brush a little butter on the buns and give a quick grill-now were talking flavor!
- Cook your patties on med-high for about 3-4 minutes per side. Don’t keep flipping and definitely don’t press down with your spatula.
Slider Bar Topping Ideas; cheese, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, steak sauce, ketchup, mustard, fried onions, sautéed mushrooms, crispy bacon…
Slider Party; Anyone heard of a slider party? Who knew it could be so much fun! Friends of ours hosted and asked everyone to bring 12 sliders and a six-pack beer pairing to go with it. Place a toothpick in each half of your slider and then cut in half for sharing. We all raved about a favorite component of each like; sesame seed buns, french fried onion toppings, perfectly cooked, jalapeño sauce, a whiskey bbq sauce, a pickle topping-yum, yum! Of course the beer pairing was a big hit as well! Good food, good beer and great friends-plan your slider party today!
