Super Salads!

Right around this time of the summer I am thinking hold the burgers and hotdogs for just a bit, I need a salad.  Salads are so versatile, whether your looking for quick, healthy or an amazing layer of flavors with lot’s of toppings there is always a new salad combination to try!

Chicken Salad

Protein:  Shredded rotisserie chicken tossed in wing sauce or your favorite bbq sauce

Veggies:  Lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers

Crunch:  Croutons

Dressing:  Blue Cheese Dressing

Fantastic Finish:  Crumbled blue cheese and craisins for a great pop of flavor! 

Veggie Salad

Protein:  Chick Peas

Veggies:  Broccoli, artichoke hearts, shredded carrots, diced red pepper

Crunch:  Sunflower Seeds

Dressing:  Lemon Vinaigrette

Fantastic Finish:  Crumbled Feta Cheese

Shrimp Salad

Protein:  Shrimp

Veggies:  Lettuce, tomatoes, avocado

Crunch:  Walnuts

Dressing:  Thousand Island Dressing

Fantastic Finish:  Crumbled crispy bacon

Steak Salad

Protein:  Left over sliced steak

Veggies:  Shredded cabbage, corn, roasted asparagus

Crunch:  French Fried Onions

Dressing:  Balsamic Vinaigrette 

Fantastic Finish:  Serve with garlic bread baguette
