Beans have a history in our family, my husband loves them, I do not. Taste buds change and I love certain beans now, but I still haven’t gotten into the baked beans thing.
Do you feel strongly about any foods? One of mine is beans…My Aunt had a picture of me having a fit as a baby when she tried to trick me with a spoon of baked beans. I discouraged baked beans for years, even in our home. If a pan had beans in it, I wasn’t touching it. My friend Mark loaded my office with cans of baked beans for fun. I am probably forgetting even other traumatizing bean stories…
The “Best Baked Beans” my husband makes are often requested. Inspired from our friend Tammy who still makes him “care” bowls of baked beans because his wife won’t make them. I recently watched my friend’s Jane & Carl making their beans (pictured here) and how everyone raved over them, I have found it’s kind of like a club comparing baked beans recipes at every cook-out. Maybe someday I will be part of the club and I will definitely start with these “Best Ever Baked Beans”.
