Candy Cane Lane

Take a walk down candy cane lane with me for for a few ideas for leftover candy canes as well as a new twist like Candy Cane S’mores.   If you don’t have any candy cane leftovers, no worries they should be on sale now 🙂

  • Crush and top ice cream…
  • Crush and rim your martini glass…
  • Blend in a smoothie…
  • Add to melted chocolate then harden for candy bark.

Peppermint S’mores

Makes 24

1 pilsbury pizza crust

Mini marshmallows (about 98)

Dark chocolate chips (about 72)

4 graham crackers

4 candy canes

Flour

Non stick spray

Mini cupcake pan

  1. Roll out dough just a little on a floured surface. Truth be told my rolling pin is packed so a glass with a little flour on it did the trick.
  2. Add candy canes and graham crackers to ziplock bag and crush with your hands. Roll a rolling pin over them or smash with a mallet or heavy can. Spray pan with non stick spray.
  3. Cut the dough into 24 squares.
  4. Add dough to pan pushing in to form a little cup.
  5. Add 2 chocolate chips and 2 marshmallows to cup.
  6. Bake at 375 for about 15 minutes until dough puffs and browns a bit.
  7. Remove from oven and top with 2 marshmallows and sprinkle with crushed graham crackers and candy canes.
  8. Bake again just for a few minutes…let cool for a few minutes and remove with butter knife around the edges…

Enjoy!
