Lemony Limoncello

6.5 cups vodka (at least triple distilled)

12 lemons

3 cups sugar

3 cups water 

3 lemons

  • Using a peeler peel the yellow lemon rind off lemons making sure not to get the white part.
  • Add vodka & lemon peels to glass container & store in a dark spot for 2 months. 
  • After 2 months make simple syrup by boiling sugar & water. Let cool.
  • Strain lemon vodka mixture and discard peels.
  • Juice the 3 lemons and combine lemon juice, simple syrup and lemon vodka for limoncello. Keep in the fridge and serve cold. Cheers! 

Tip; adding lemon juice can make it a little tart and cloudy, personal preference to add or not.
