Appetizers Dinner

Artsy Veggie Pizza

1 pizza dough ball

1 bunch of green onions, whites removed, sliced in half for flower stems

2 Colored peppers, sliced in rounds or small strips

1 jar of Capers

1 Tbsp Tajin seasoning

1 Tbsp Italian seasoning

1 Tbsp Olive oil

1 Tbsp Garlic salt

1 Tbsp Black or Kalamata olives, sliced in half

Flour

Optional ideas;

Basil leaves for leaves

Mushrooms for bottom of pizza

Grape tomatoes sliced in small flat rounds

  1. Roll out pizza dough into a square on lightly flour dusted surface.
  2. Slice veggies into desired shapes.
  3. Put rolled out dough on parchment paper baking sheet. Brush dough with olive oil and sprinkle all over with garlic salt.
  4. Add veggies and other ingredients in desired form, once happy with picture press down into dough. Be careful with the amount of capers, they are delicious but salty.
  5. Brush with olive oil and sprinkle on tajin seasoning on the top and italian seasoning on the bottom.
  6. Bake at 350 for about 15-20 minutes.
  7. Serve as pizza slices or as breadsticks with a basil pesto.  Pesto To The Rescue!

I loved serving these! I have made them twice now, pictured are both versions. Both times it was with veggies I had leftover in the fridge. Many people make these with Focaccia Bread, this is my short cut version. The sky is the limit with your design!

Have fun with it!
