It’s Finally Friday Charcuterie Board

Hi! I brought this to a work event, and I couldn’t think of a name.  Well, it was Friday so “It’s Finally Friday Charcuterie Board.”  I thought of naming it just plain good as well!

  • Extra Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • Jalapeno Cheese Stars
  • Grape Tomatoes
  • Lemons
  • Cucumbers
  • Green Olives
  • Kalamata Olives
  • Salami
  • Pepperoni
  • Smoked Sausage
  • Artichokes with Italian Seasoning
  • Tzatziki Dip
  • Apricots
  • Cranberries
  • Grilled Pita

How did I do it?

Make a plan and a list. Even draw it out on paper for a general idea. Everything was prepped the night before and put in containers to transport, that way when I got there it was easy to assemble.

The board – The “board” was actually a wicker basket I bought at good will and covered with butcher paper.  It worked perfectly transporting because it had deep sides.

  • Cheese-use cookie cutters for stars.
  • Grape tomatoes-can’t get any easier, wash and display.
  • Lemons-I had a little fun with this trying to make a garnish, the internet has all kinds of way to do that stuff.
  • Cucumbers-just use a peeler to peel of a section of skin to get the eye catching slits in the cucumber.
  • Olives-yum two of my favorites.  Drain and serve.
  • Meats-I used three kinds the Columbus Salami’s that are small, sandwich pepperoni, and smoked garlic cooked sausage.  For the pepperoni I used a wine glass to make the roses everyone is making online.  Wait, it worked!  Super cool and easy.
  • Artichokes-easy out of the can, drained and tossed with Italian Seasoning.
  • Tzatziki Dip-well I made a huge batch, might cut that in half next time no matter how good it is.  Recipe is linked below.
  • Dried Fruits-apricots and cranberries, easy and colorful.
  • Grilled Pita-easy just spray some non-stick spray on it and lightly sprinkle with garlic salt.  Cut in wedges.

Serving ideas;

  • Ice-put some ice in ziplock bags and put under the tray.  A tray like this can normally be out for up to 2 hours but if its hot forget it you will need ice.
  • Tongs
  • Toothpicks
  • A menu or label explaining everything on the board-which I forgot.
  • Fan-a little one if you are outside set the fan behind it will keep the bugs away from your food, and this is to good to share with them!

If you are reading this and it is not Friday, rest assured, you can still enjoy this anytime!
